Orchard at Tucker Partnering with Innovative Providers to Help our Residents Improve all Aspects of Their Lives.

Orchard at Tucker has now partnered with Megan Kumming, M.A., L.A.P.C. of Peachtree DBT. DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Research has shown that DBT is effective in treating a wide range of other disorders such as substance dependence, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). DBT is a supportive collaborative therapy that is behaviorally focused and clinically proven to be highly effective. Very few providers nationally are able to bring such cutting edge therapy to the community. Meghan and her team understands that in many instances residents move into a community in the midst of chaos or confusion. Family members, very often are just as effected and wind up in need of supportive therapy services and cooping mechanisms. Both residents and their families are often lookingDBTfor acceptance and desiring to make significant positive changes in their lives after a series of stressful and or traumatic events or circumstances. Because every person has a different need, Skills Classes are available as well as individual sessions. For more information about this revolutionary program contact Megan Kumming directly at mkumming@peachtreedbt.com, or visit the website at peachtreeDBT.com

Tucker Award Program Honors the Achievement

TUCKER July 22, 2015 — Orchard at Tucker has been selected for the 2015 Best of Tucker Award in the Assisted Living Facility category by the Tucker Award Program.

Each year, the Tucker Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Tucker area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2015 Tucker Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Tucker Award Program and data provided by third parties.
