“We’ve been wrong about what our job is in medicine. We think our job is to ensure health and survival. But it is larger than that. It is to enable well-being.”

~Atul Gawande

For many, the thought of transitioning to an assisted living can be overwhelming and emotional. We want you to know that our team intimately understands the change you are considering.

We have learned through collective experience that knowledge is power, purpose is critical, and partnering changes everything! Our care approach focuses on relationship, ability, and personal preference.

Relational Responsive Care starts with believing that quality of life is rooted in relationship. Rather than practicing prescriptive and task driven care, the approach is warm, responsive, and collaborative. A friendly care partner helps ensure residents and families feel listened to, understood and valued.

Relational Responsive Care

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”

~Theodore Roosevelt

Wholistic Assessment and Care Planning

Wholistic Assessment & Care Planning is done with intention and a commitment to the human spirit. Each resident’s Health & Wellness Assessment includes not only medication management and/or hands-on support services, but equally important to Orchard is the maintenance or improvement in social, emotional and spiritual needs.

Our Team understands that a person craves more than bingo and parties to live well and be fulfilled. Resident care planning includes guidance and assistance determined by four personal need categories.
