Orchard at Tucker Partnering with Innovative Providers to Help our Residents Improve all Aspects of Their Lives.

Orchard at Tucker has now partnered with Megan Kumming, M.A., L.A.P.C. of Peachtree DBT. DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Research has shown that DBT is effective in treating a wide range of other disorders such as substance dependence, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). DBT is a supportive collaborative therapy that is behaviorally focused and clinically proven to be highly effective. Very few providers nationally are able to bring such cutting edge therapy to the community. Meghan and her team understands that in many instances residents move into a community in the midst of chaos or confusion. Family members, very often are just as effected and wind up in need of supportive therapy services and cooping mechanisms. Both residents and their families are often lookingDBTfor acceptance and desiring to make significant positive changes in their lives after a series of stressful and or traumatic events or circumstances. Because every person has a different need, Skills Classes are available as well as individual sessions.
