Orchard believes Health and Well-Being are created by balancing daily activity and personal needs and preferences in several areas. 4 categories are considered in helping direct and create structure and programming for how resident’s use their time.
Self-Care: Physical and Cognitive
Purpose: Meaningful and Productive
Renewal: Sleep and Restoration
Activity: Leisure and Entertainment
When it comes to Activity we prefer a holistic approach that meets the wide variety of human interest and inspiration.
Orchard’s priority toward ensuring resident well being includes 4 full-time staff members, volunteers, University research interns, and family participation. Activity and engagement opportunities are provided through the Grove Program Calendars.
“What a man can be, he must be. This need we call self-actualization.”
~Maslow
